My name is Philippa Ardler and I’m a young Aboriginal Australian woman. Growing up away from country and in an Anglo-Saxon majority community, I struggled with feeling out of place due to who I was and who I was proud to be. I learnt quickly the importance of being true to who you are, regardless of what others think you should be. I’m passionate about my heritage and belonging on my terms, as an Aboriginal, as a woman, as an Australian, as a human. I am studying towards working in the public sector, hoping to make a difference in the lives of Aboriginal young adults.
