Jessica Thompson Carr is a writer from Dunedin, Otago. She has completed her degree in English and Art History and comes from the tribes Ngāpuhi and Ngati Ruanui. Jessica uses her poetry, paintings, drawings, and photography to explore her Māori and Pākehā heritage. She is currently working on her Masters at Otago University, looking at ekphrastic Māori female poetry; though her true ambition is to be a creative writer and artist.
Her “art gallery” can be found on Instagram.
